Preview of Real Housewives of Orange County S17

As longtime fans of Real housewives from Orange County knowledge, Tamra Judge left the series after season 12. Tamra has always been known for causing a stir, and even in her off-series time, she managed to create some drama.
When it was announced that Tamra would be returning for RHOC Season 17, there was… mixed reaction. On the one hand, Tamra can be cruel and frustrating. On the other hand, questions have been raised about whether the show will function without her, with Heather Dubrow taking the firm position that RHOC doesn’t work with Tamra’s return.
Granted, Heather and Tamra have their own history, and Tamra reportedly made filming difficult for Heather. Shannon Beador has expressed similar views, and Tamra immediately responded that Shannon was “vicious” during filming. Tamra’s return is already having the effect that Bravo probably intended.
Tamra rides hard and fast to Orange County
Knowing that Tamra was clearly her ace up the sleeve, Bravo was the focus of attention when Bravo tweeted the new teaser. They captioned the video, “As Tamra once said, the best part of starting over is never looking back.” [clapping hands emoji] Don’t miss the brand new season of #RHOC on June 7th!”
The preview showed Tamra riding her motorcycle towards Orange County, along with voiceovers and earlier clips about Tamra. These included, “Tamra talks a lot about her friends and that makes her a little dangerous” and “She’s pissed.” She becomes like Shrek. She’s like an ogre.”
An earlier scene in which Tamra blows up Shannon also made it into the cut. Tamra shouted, “For once in your life, stop screaming and listen!” You’re not going to listen!” Is it any wonder Shannon locked Tamra’s door?
But a housewife who played Devil’s Advocate pointed out that there were at least some good memories with Tamra, too. The trailer commemorates Tamra’s wedding to Eddie Judge in 2013 as featured in Tamra’s OC Wedding.
Responses to the trailer ranged from obvious excitement to unease. As one commenter wrote, “After seeing this trailer we might as well call this the Tamra show!” Another said, “I’m not sure what I think of her return but as always it’s going to be explosive !” Explosive indeed.
Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17 premieres on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 on Bravo.
