Publix has been named one of the Best Retail Workplaces for the 10th year in a row

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – Publix has been named one of the Best Retail Workplaces for the 10th consecutive year, according to Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Retail list.

According to Fortune, Publix is ​​the sixth best place to work in retail.

According to Fortune, employees praised the company’s customer service, family atmosphere and concern for its employees.

“Publix is ​​proud to be recognized as one of the best places to work in the retail industry for the 10th consecutive year,” Publix Communications Director Maria Brous said in a statement. “We are committed to upholding the philosophy on which our company was founded 93 years ago, and that starts with taking care of our employees.”

According to a press release, Publix offers stock ownership and employee stock purchase plans to its employees. It also provides tuition reimbursement benefits to employees.

Wegmans was ranked the top retail employer, with Target, Sheetz, Altar’d State and CarMax rounding out the top five.

Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work to confidentially survey employees on various metrics used to determine workplace experiences. Last year, the company received more than 1.3 million responses from companies with 7.5 million employees.
