Purdue University student killed; Roommates in custody, West Lafayette, Indiana, police say

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A Purdue University student was killed in a dorm early Wednesday morning, the university said.

The West Lafayette, Indiana, school said in a statement that around 12:44 a.m., Purdue police received a 911 call from the victim’s roommate.

This roommate is in custody, the university said.

An investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the community, the university said.
