Quantum Leap Season 1: All the questions “will be answered,” says Star

Raymond Lee, who plays Ben, assures that he provides answers to the many questions raised in Season 1 – including the very threat to Addison’s life that forced him to make the illegal jump.

“There are a lot of questions that we’re asking, and they’re all going to be answered by the end of season one,” he told TVLine during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour. “We don’t let anyone down. There will surely be answers.”

Monday’s episode added a new layer to the overarching mystery of Ben’s jump, with Janice warning that Ben should keep any new details he remembers to himself. It also begs the question of Leaper X first appearing in the 1879 timeline and if Ben is now being targeted by Evil Leapers.

In the original show, Evil Leapers were part of a secret, corrupt organization working in direct opposition to the Quantum Leap project.

“The possibility of humans being able to enter the quantum accelerator and even build their own accelerator opens up a whole different universe for humans to pinpoint Ben’s whereabouts and thwart the course of history that Ben is trying to change,” Lee shared. “Is he an Evil Leaper? We do not know it. Maybe he’s there for the greater good because what Ben and Addison got into might not be.”

Since the show has already been renewed for Season 2, Lee also noted that the new season “will be a brand new arena that we will play in.”
