Rapper Feezy Lebron is filing a $10 million demand after video shows LA County congressman threatening to shoot him

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC)– Lawyers for a Los Angeles-based rapper filed a $10 million lawsuit against Los Angeles County on Wednesday, alleging that sheriff’s deputies threatened to shoot and kill him while he was alone in his car on New Year’s Eve .
Feezy Lebron and his attorneys held a news conference in Pasadena on Wednesday, arguing that the entertainer posed no threat to law enforcement but they threatened him nonetheless.
The rapper’s allegation, a possible precursor to a lawsuit, says that around 6 p.m. on December 31, he was in his car in a parking lot in Val Gardena, waiting to meet a friend, listen to music and follow his fans live on Instagram MPs drove up and shone a flashlight on his car.
Bodycam recordings captured the encounter.
A deputy opened the driver’s door, grabbed Lebron’s arm and tried to pull him out, the allegation said. Moments later, a second MP arrived, pulled out a canister of pepper spray and said he would spray the rapper, the allegation said.
The same MP drew his gun, pointed it at Lebron’s chest and repeatedly threatened to shoot him while the rapper allegedly sat with his hands raised.
The MP reportedly told Lebron, “Move your hands from right there and you’re done,” the claim reads.
The MP also said in the bodycam footage, “You take off in this car, I’m going to shoot you” and “You start this car, you get punched right in the chest.”
When Lebron asked the deputy if he was going to shoot him, the deputy reportedly said “absolutely,” the allegation said.
Lebron was later taken from his car, handcuffed and held for about 30 minutes while deputies searched the vehicle, and then released with an indication of a missing front license plate, the allegation said.
The sheriff’s department says deputies initially approached Lebron at the 14900 block of Crenshaw Boulevard when they noticed he had a missing license plate on his vehicle.
Freezy Lebron, whose real name is Darral Scott, argues that he was sitting in his car waiting for a friend when he was suddenly confronted by a police officer who was pointing a gun at him.
“I was scared to death,” Lebron said at the press conference. “I didn’t think I would make it home to see my kids.”
Lebron claims his civil rights have been violated. His lawyers are confident they have a strong case.
“It was absolutely discriminatory and racist,” said Lebron’s attorney, Morgan Ricketts.
The sheriff’s department says there’s an investigation into the deputy’s actions and language.
Lebron’s attorneys say the sheriff’s department must be held accountable.
“If a gun is pointed in your face and someone threatens you, that’s a criminal offense,” Ricketts said. “It’s gangster behavior. This is brawling.”
