Ratings: “The White Lotus” hits series high point with Season 2, Episode 5

Madama Butterfly wasn’t the only one who hit the high notes on this Sunday evening The White LotusTanya went to the opera.

The HBO drama This Sunday night over the holiday weekend garnered a high-viewing series with 2.3 million viewers in the United States via HBO Max and linear television shows.

Total viewership for the night increased 28 from the previous Sunday and 23 percent from the previous series’ peak (when the season one finale drew 1.9 million viewers in August 2021).

HBO notes that the premiere nights for each episode of Season 2 have grown each week since the series’ second premiere in October.

With delayed playback, the first episode of Season 2 currently has 9.5 million viewers (across all platforms), beating Season 1’s average of 9.3 million viewers per episode.

Season 2 of The White Lotus has just two episodes left, which will air December 4th and 11th, and build on the reveal of which characters were found dead in the season opener flash-forward. Do you have a theory? Share it here!
