Repairs to the Highway 82 bridge over the Chattahoochee River begin September 11th

ALABAMA (WRBL) – Repairs will be made to a bridge over the Chattahoochee River beginning Monday, Sept. 11.

The $4 million project will help extend the life of the Highway 82 bridge in Eufaula.

The project includes water jetting, painting and rehabilitation of the bridge deck. A containment structure traps, collects and removes debris during preparation and painting.

Road closures and reduced speed limits are to be expected.

According to the Eufaula Police Department, the project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2025.
