Resident Evil 4 Remake was recently announced at the PlayStation State of Play event, and fans would be disappointed to hear about a big change in the remake.
After the great success of the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes, Capcom is ready to release a remake of an even more popular title, Resident Evil 4. Most gamers who owned a Playstation 2 back then must have definitely tried it from the game, and for many of them it was actually one of their all-time favorites. The characters are one of the main reasons for the game’s success and fans are already wowed by the remake.

Since the trailer’s release, the community has praised the developers for making significant improvements to the character models. Not surprisingly, there are also many Ashley fans out there who have stated that the character looks even better in the remake. If you are one of those gamers who are a big fan of the character Leon in recent games, then you might be a bit disappointed with Resident Evil 4 Remake.
The game’s protagonist Leon Kennedy was voiced in the original game by actor Paul Mercier. Matthew Mercer played Leon in Resident Evil 6 and a plethora of other stuff. When the game was announced, fans immediately thought Matthew would return as Leon in Resident Evil 4 Remake as well. However, this is far from the case. The actor confirmed he’s not taking on the role and sent some well wishes to the project’s voice actor.
At the moment it is quite difficult to say what exactly the developers are looking for. There are two likely outcomes: either the developers go back to the original voice actor, or we get Nick Apostolides as Leon.
