Returnal might come to PC when Steam files are detected

return is set to become the next PlayStation exclusive to make its way to PC as files from the Steam database detail the Tower Of Sisyphus.

Housemarque’s hit roguelike title was also one of the many games featured in the huge 2021 GeForce NOW leak. The leak in question listed various unannounced games from Sony, Microsoft, Square Enix, EA, and others. As well as console titles that weren’t available for PC at the time of the leak.

However, 8 months after the database leak, credibility continues to grow. Unannounced games like that Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remasters have since been confirmed and released, while PlayStation titles such as God of War have since been released on Steam.

Well, although it shouldn’t come as a surprise return could be coming to PC soon, Steam database files suggest an announcement or release could be on the horizon.

Returnal could be the next PlayStation exclusive game for PC

As spotted by Twitter user Nibelthe Steam database contains tags that indicate the release of return on PC. Although the word ‘Return’ doesn’t actually appear in the Steam database, there are text strings titled “Tower Of Sisyphus”.

The Tower of Sisyphus was part of it returnees The latest Ascension DLC update released for PlayStation 5 back in March. The update included a brand new co-op mode as well as a new endless mode and was completely free for all owners return.

While this is the only clue in the database, Sony has previously reiterated that they are committed to bringing more first-party titles to PC. Steam users can currently play titles such as God of War, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

If you combine today’s news with last year’s GeForce NOW leak, it probably looks like this return could be coming to Steam soon. However, we advise you to take this news with a pinch of salt until it’s made official by either Housemarque or Sony.
