RICHARD Madeley took a detour and mentioned his daughter Chloe’s split from James Haskell on today’s Good Morning Britain.

The breakup continued to make headlines yesterday and usually a big breakup story was mentioned in the world of entertainment ITV‘s flagship daytime show – but that wasn’t the case today.

This is likely due in part to major global events such as the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the tragic death of Friends star Matthew Perry in LA.

The show also featured an interview with Rebecca Loos, who spoke about her alleged affair with David Beckham two decades ago in light of the ex-footballer’s new career Netflix Documentary.

Yesterday, in light of the split, details of the difficult relationship between Richard and his son-in-law James were resurfaced, confirmed in a joint statement.

It read: “James and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023.

“We had no intention of releasing a statement at the time – especially not while the TV show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage unfortunately forced us to do so.

“Beyond this statement, we will not speak publicly about this matter and ask for privacy at this time.”

“Our only focus now is on our beautiful daughter. We will continue to co-parent with nothing but love.”
