Though the two were no longer romantically linked, Rihanna shared that she still cared deeply for her former partner. Despite everything that happened between them, she still wished him the best.
“I think he was the love of my life. He was first love. And I see he loved me the same way… it’s not even about the fact that we’re together. i really love him So the main thing is that he has his peace. I’m not at peace if he’s a little miserable or still lonely,” she added.
Rihanna declined recommendations to see a therapist

But the ocean 8 The actress made it clear to everyone she worked with what she didn’t want on her record.
“When I was about to start recording, the first thing I said was, ‘I don’t want any sad songs. I don’t want songs about love.’ I turned down eight ballads: ‘I don’t want that, that’s to be expected,'” she once said, according to The Scotsman.
Not only did she refuse to bring up the subject in her songs, but she also didn’t feel the need to bring it up with a therapist. That’s because Rihanna’s upbringing gave her a special mindset that didn’t favor therapy.
“Everyone wanted me to go to a therapist just to talk about it and I refused,” she said. “We don’t do that in Barbados. We keep it in our family and find out and move on. I just put on my game face and got on with my life. But deep down I had to overcome some things, and that came out in the music.”

She also felt that she experienced growth after the situation with Brown.
“As traumatic and terrifying as it was,” she continued. “And sometimes I wish it had never happened, my whole life has changed in the most amazing way after going through that. If I hadn’t gone through that, I swear you would have interviewed a whole different person.”
