Scandoval: Scheana Shay has ‘upgraded’ therapy sessions.
Sheana Shay has done much penance for her past friendships with Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval. She spent most of her time on it Vanderpump Rules In Season 10, she defends Raquel against Lala Kent and Katie Maloney even after kissing their ex-husband.
There were many actions by Raquel that bordered on the untenable. But Scheana stood by her friend at the time. Viewers at the reunion saw the Good As Gold singer break down. The betrayal she feels weighs on her, as Scheana recently revealed to her Instagram followers.
Scheana credits the “laughter” with helping her heal
In an Instagram story posted on Wednesday, Scheana responded to the second part of the reunion. The Scheanigans podcast host wrote, “My daughter’s laughter was just what I needed after reliving the emotions of tonight’s episode.”
During the reunion, Scheana described how she cried uncontrollably in the presence of her daughter. She and Brock Davies share two-year-old daughter Summer Moon.
“First of all, betraying two of my best friends is heartbreaking in itself,” Scheana told Andy Cohen. “But then throwing all that on top of it while I was doing nothing but taking care of it [Raquel]? I gave her a home to live in when she had nowhere to go. I was to her the sister she didn’t have as a child.” She continued, “I did everything for her. And that she does this to me? It weighed on me so much. I wasn’t able to fully be there for my daughter.”
Scheana has taken drastic steps to heal. And summer is her ultimate motivation.
“Recently I’ve stepped up therapy, started exercising again and am trying to take better care of myself to be the best mom I can be,” she added to her Instagram Story. “The last few months have definitely taken a toll on me, but I’m feeling strong and I want to thank you all for being with all of us on this journey right now.”
It seems the rest of the VPR cast is willing to forgive Scheana for supporting Raquel. The public too. Now is the time for the mother of a child to forgive herself.
Vanderpump Rules Season 10 concludes with the final part of the reunion on Wednesday June 7th at 9/8c on Bravo.
