Fall finals on Monday 9-1-1 (Fox, 8/7c) presents Bobby with a dark mystery to solve, and TVLine has an exclusive preview of his disturbing first clue.

It comes in the form of a disturbing voicemail from his sponsor, Wendell: “I think I screwed up. I didn’t know what else to do. I thought I could handle it, but I can’t. I can not. Have you ever done something and it doesn’t go the way you planned? I tried. I really tried to be a good man. But I’m tired now. So tired.”

Bobby desperately tries to call Wendell back only to get his outgoing voicemail.

Elsewhere in the episode, “the Santa Ana winds bring a host of unusual emergencies when the 118 responds to a family dog ​​retrieving a severed hand and a young woman driving into the station in her sleep,” reads it in Fox’s official logline. Meanwhile, “Denny asks Hen and Karen about his birth parents, and Chimney thinks he’s found the perfect home for him and Maddie.”
