Ahead of the release of Harry Styles’ new album Harry’s houseFans have already spotted CDs and vinyl on the shelves at some Walmart locations.
Harry’s house is Styles’ third studio album, due out on Friday. However, some people found it stocked on Walmart shelves at least two days early. Fans took to social media to share what they found.
In a video posted by @ericalovesee, the TikTokker was shocked to find CDs and vinyl copies of the album on May 18th, when the album is set to be released on May 20th. The viral video has over 100,000 likes and 400,000 views.
She asked, “Who do I need to talk to about this?”
Other fans on Twitter are also talking about the possible mix-up.
“My colleague found Harry’s House on vinyl at our local Walmart, wtf happened,” asked one fan.
“Harry’s House is at my local Walmart two days before the release date,” exclaimed another.
“There’s no way Walmart released Harry Styles’ new album before he released it himself,” said one Styles fan.
Fans also find out they can’t when they try to buy the album, although no fan seems to elaborate on how they were prevented from buying the record.
“YOU HAD HARRY’S HOUSE AT MU WALMART BUT WOUKDNY LET ME BUY IT,” admitted one fan.
“My Walmart had the Harry’s House vinyl but they wouldn’t let me buy it,” said another Styles fan.
Back in March, Styles released a teaser and release date for Harry’s house but he’s teased fans about new music before by leaving plenty of clues, including a then-unconfirmed Twitter account by the name “You are at home” along with released paparazzi photos of Styles filming a music video.
The first single “As It Was” was released in the US on March 31st, along with a music video – now with over 120 million views. The song peaked at number 1 billboard Hot 100 and is a popular sound heard on TikTok with over 1.8 million videos.
“It’s the best I’ve ever felt making music. It’s the best I’ve ever felt about anything I’ve done and I’m already seeing a difference in terms of…this time of releasing music always feels pretty stressful and I feel pretty relaxed this time. I had so much fun making it and I feel like I experienced so many wonderful things during the making process, so I’m really happy,” Styles told Z100 New York of the album.
