Sensitive Santa event in Reseda to provide a holiday experience for children with special needs

RESEDA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Children with special needs had their own visit with Santa in the San Fernando Valley on Sunday.

The 10th annual Sensitive Santa event hosted by Autism Live and the Ed Asner Family Center was held in Reseda.

The event allowed children with special needs to have a more personal visit with Santa, rather than subjecting them to the sensory overload that can come with other holiday activities.

This year, the event was a drive-through experience, allowing families to complete the visit from the comfort of their vehicle.

Guests from Dinosaurs in the Valley were there and helping Santa, along with Santa’s helpers.

Participants also received a wrapped toy.
