SAN FRANCISCO– Are you registered to vote? Well, it’s National Voter Registration Day!
Each year, millions of Americans are unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration, or are unsure how to register.
National Voter Registration Day serves as a day to ensure everyone has the information they need to vote.
The National Association of State Secretary of State created the 2012 non-partisan Citizens’ Day.
It is coordinated by local, state and national organizations that are urging people to register.
Data shows that more than one in five eligible Americans is not registered to vote.
