Sherman Oaks earthquake: 2.3 magnitude tremor reported, no casualties reported

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A magnitude 2.3 earthquake was reported in the Sherman Oaks area Saturday afternoon, according to the US Geological Survey.

The quake struck about a mile northeast of the area around 4 p.m. and the quake was reported to be about 1.9 miles deep. A slight tremor was felt in the area, according to some local residents.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.
