Skyrim Anniversary Edition was launched back in 2021 to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary. Over the decade Skyrim has established itself as one of the most popular games and has a community that is still actively working to keep the game updated. The Anniversary Edition includes all three original DLCs – Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard, as well as some bonus packs. Now it looks like Bethesda is planning a release Skyrim once again, this time for the Nintendo Switch.

Skyrim seems to be getting a new release again

As spotted by Switch Brazil, the Taiwan Game Rating Board has the Skyrim anniversary edition for the Nintendo Switch. Other than that, there are no other details on the mentioned, but the filing date says it was filed last week, May 15th.

When a game is spotted on the rating board, an announcement is usually pretty close. Games are generally not submitted for judging unless they are close to release. The best example is Gotham Knights, which was spotted on the same leaderboard a while back. Shortly after, we witnessed an announcement from the developers that also contained some bad news for the fans out there, as the developers announced that they would be dropping the last generation console variants.

Skyrim was released on the Nintendo Switch back in 2017, and it’s been selling pretty decently on the platform as well. Bethesda had previously stated in 2018 that it was quite happy with the sales of its games on the Nintendo Switch and was looking forward to releasing more games in the near future. From this perspective, the arrival of Skyrim Anniversary Edition on the Nintendo Switch doesn’t seem like a bad bet.
