Warner Bros. and DC Studio recently announced they were making cast changes, and now an actor who once played the role himself is nominated for consideration in place of Lex Luthor.
While the cast change means we’re saying goodbye to Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, it’s also a goodbye to Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor. At this point, it’s currently uncertain if the villain would return James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU.
However, in the case where this is the case, Kleinville‘s Michael Rosenbaum is up for the challenge. Rosenbaum replied to a fan on Twitter that he hopes Warner Bros. would consider him for the role of Lex Luthor in the DCU after playing Luthor on the CW show for seven years. During his career, he also played and voiced other DC characters on shows like Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
If Warner Bros. needed someone with extensive DC experience, he would be the perfect candidate.
It’s important to note that Rosenbaum has also worked with Gunn in the past. appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2., Rosenbaum played Martinex, a Ravager on Stakar Ogord’s team.
All we know about DC’s plans for Superman so far is that they want to focus on the hero’s storyline during his younger years. Gunn made it clear that Cavill was too old to play the role he envisioned, which is why he won’t be returning to play the legendary DC hero.
No cast members have been announced yet, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Gunn Rosenbaum saw the tweet.
