SMG on “Wolf Pack”: Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Character Explained

Vampires were so yesterday. This time, Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the hunt for some werewolves… and whatever else might happen during the night.

Gellar will soon be making her long-awaited return to genre television via Paramount+’s wolf pack (Thursday, January 26) and TVLine has an exclusive first look at her badass character in the show’s new key art.

Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, wolf pack “Follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a freeway jam beneath the burning hills,” reads the official logline. “Wounded by the chaos, the boy and girl find an inexplicable attraction to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted by a park ranger sixteen years earlier after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teenagers come together to solve the mystery that binds them together – the bite and blood of a werewolf.”

The actress formerly known as Buffy Summers now plays Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator who soon finds herself in, well, all of the above.

wolf pack also stars Rodrigo Santoro (western world) as Garrett Briggs, Armani Jackson (Chad) as Everett, Bella Shepard (The wilderness) as Blake, Chloe Rose Robertson as Luna, and Tyler Lawrence Gray as Harlan.

Gellar is also an executive producer alongside writers Jeff Davis, Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, Karen Gorodetzky, Jason Ensler and Christian Taylor.
