Sony announces new PlayStation Productions series in development

PlayStation will continue its commitment to TV and movies as Sony confirms the expansion of PlayStation Productions. The announcement came during the Sony Business Segment Briefings for 2022.

In a recent tweet from Benji Sales, horizon come along to Netflix God of War and Gran Turismo. That was rumored in the past God of War would come to Amazon, which was finally confirmed today. However, fans are still waiting to learn about the streaming platform Gran Turismo.

Confirmed to come to Netflix, horizon will feature Aloy, the game’s main character, and may contain all the adventures and mysteries of the game’s content. However, Sony has yet to confirm whether the adaptation of Guerrilla Games’ horizon Series will be a movie or TV show.

In addition, we already know that popular games, including The last of us, Bent metal TV shows and Spirit of Tsushima, are already in active development and will soon be released on popular streaming platforms. With this news getting out, people are guessing too bloodborne and other similar titles next on the list.

Additionally, during the QnA session, Sony confirmed 10 new projects based entirely on the popular PlayStation franchise, as reported on ResetEra. Aside from that, in the Business Segment Briefing, Jim Ryan also mentions that PlayStation will be more focused on PC and diversify their IPs along with their goal to do PlayStation production series and movies.

Since the news is confirmed, we expect to receive an official notification for it soon. In the meantime, Sony could also announce its plans Gran Turismo.
