Sony unveils 6 new games for PS VR2

Sony today announced a handful of games heading to the PlayStation VR2.
Sony made these announcements on both the PlayStation Blog and social media platform X (formerly Twitter), sharing new details about six games that will be playable on its headset. With release dates varying from next month to next year, here’s a roundup of the six VR games Sony has highlighted that are coming soon to PS VR2.
Among us
PlayStation’s first announcement was that Among US VR would be coming to PS VR2. While no release date has been announced, the news is great for PS VR2 fans as it was released on Meta Quest and Steam VR headsets almost a year ago; It seemed only a matter of time before Schell Games released a PS VR port.
Trip to the foundation
Inspired by the Foundation novel series by the late American author Isaac Asimov, Journey to Foundation is an upcoming VR sci-fi role-playing game in which players explore unknown regions of space. Players take on the role of an agent of a shadowy organization and become embroiled in a battle for “control over all of humanity.”
The game was actually revealed in February, but today’s announcement revealed that Journey to Foundation is coming to PS VR2 (plus Meta Quest) on October 26th.
Heroes of eternity
Lucky Mountain Games, the developers of Hotshot Racing, are developing a new fast-paced arcade shooter: Heroes of Forever. In Heroes of Forever, players jump through different dimensions and timelines to stop as many villains as possible and maintain order in the multiverse.
Heroes of Forever is scheduled to release sometime next year.
Tin hearts
Tin Hearts is a puzzle game that was originally released as a non-VR game for PS4 and PS5 earlier this year. Following requests from the VR community, developer Rogue Sun today announced the release of a PS VR2 version of the game.
Set in the Victorian era, players control Albert Butterworth, a toy manufacturer, with gameplay similar to the 1991 Amiga game Lemmings. Although no release date has been announced, a demo for Tin Hearts will be released on November 2nd.
Tiger Blade
Tiger Blade developer Ikimasho Games, a slash-and-dash arcade game originally announced in June, announced that its next project will launch exclusively for the PlayStation VR2 on November 17th.
Inspired by Korean neo-noir action cinema, “Tiger Blade” combined fast-paced sword fights with gunplay. The game’s trailers remind me a lot of the 1999 PlayStation 1 game Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman, in which the titular character also wielded a katana and a pistol.
The Mistlands
The Foglanss, an anti-Western rougelite, is a new action game coming to PS VR2 on October 31st. In The Foglands, players control Jim as they venture into unknown areas to fight monsters, collect loot, and make their way back before the fog disappears.
