In addition to its larger selection of games, PS Plus Premium also gives you the option to stream games to PC and play them without a PlayStation console. Here’s everything you need to start streaming games on PC!

Previously, Sony offered PlayStation Now on both consoles and PC, but now that the service is being replaced by new tiers of PlayStation Plus, you actually need a quick migration.

So before we get into the requirements, let’s be clear that if you already have a PlayStation Now subscription and it’s still expiring, your plan will be upgraded to PlayStation Plus Premium at no additional cost until your service’s expiration date.

Ahead of the launch of the new PlayStation Plus services, Sony has revealed the minimum and recommended system specifications for those interested in streaming PlayStation games on PC.

While you don’t need a state-of-the-art graphics card, streaming on a PC requires a Core i3 processor, at least if you’re using Intel chipsets.

  • Core i3 2.0GHz
  • 300 MB available disk space
  • 2GB of memory
  • sound card; USB port

In addition, you need an Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 5 Mbit/s for the lowest quality and at least 15 Mbit/s for 1080p resolution. Also, a DualShock 4 is required to play games with a controller.

Keep in mind that streaming on PC is only available through the PS Plus Premium subscription.

The new PS Plus plans will launch on June 13th in North America and June 23rd in Europe.
