It’s not all good news in the land of Nintendo as they have refunded copies of Pokemon scarlet and Pokemon Violetwhile the fans got mad at them Need speed Twitter account and splinter group is back, but probably not in the way you want it to be.
Read about all of this and more in today’s gaming news roundup.
With franchise records broken, players are looking for refunds for Pokemon scarlet and Pokemon Violet
We reported that in yesterday’s news summary Pokemon scarlet and Pokemon Violet sold 10 million copies in the first three days of its release, breaking the record for the best-selling Nintendo game of that period. But today we can report that people are turning their backs and asking Nintendo for a refund after witnessing the poor performance of the games. It wouldn’t be too surprising to find out that people are refunding the games as some might compare them to the disastrous launch status of Cyberpunk 2077 and how PlayStation refunded purchases of the game after fans caused an uproar.
Interestingly, Nintendo, Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company have all been silent on the matter so far, and there’s no word on whether a patch will be released for the games to improve their performance. However, there are workarounds for the game’s poor performance, including a newly discovered fix that moves that Game data from your SD card to the console itself if you do not wish to refund the game.
That splinter group Franchise gets a new entry, but it’s not a game
splinter group Fans prepare to be disappointed as we will be getting more splinter group Content, but it’s not a game we’re going to get, it’s a splinter group Radio play. If you want to listen to the radio play, call Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Firewall, it will be broadcast on BBC’s Radio 4 from 2 December 2022. Sam Fisher is played by Andonis Anthony, and Daisy Head, Sacha Dhawan, Will Poulter and Nikesh Patel will also lend their voice talents to the project. Of course, Ubisoft announced we were getting one splinter group Remake soon, so maybe tune in to the radio play in the meantime.
Fans believe EA has crossed the line with that Need speed Twitter account
In perhaps the strangest message of the day, EA apologized for this following the Twitter account Need speed started insulting fans. They’ve since deleted the (funny) offensive tweets in question, but hardcore fans have managed to keep their receipts, as you can see from the exchange above. The official Twitter account tweeted,
“We admit we got a little carried away with the hype surrounding the launch and some of our recent social media responses have crossed the line. We apologize to the fans we upset. We will do better. See you here next week.”
Of course, her new game, Need for Speed Unbound is expected to be released next week, so you can’t blame the account for being a bit too excited about its launch. At the end of the day, it seems like a classic case of players being able to dish it out but not take it when a very public Twitter account embarrasses you. It’s all fun and games until a big company decides to take their ball and go home.
Grand Theft Auto VI could appear in 2024
According to Microsoft, Grand Theft Auto VI expected to be released in 2024. In yesterday’s news roundup, we mentioned that the Competition and Markets Authority is investigating Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision/Blizzard. In the long answer from Microsoft, they indicated that they were convinced of it Grand Theft Auto VI Could appear in 2024, which is actually not impossible.
They wrote that “the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in 2024.” We know that Rockstar Games is working on the game and judging by the game’s recent leaks it seemed like they were making good progress. While Microsoft knows Rockstar will release the game in 2024, there’s always a chance it will be delayed. So fans of the game should be patient, but it seems like we’re getting closer to the release of the next entry Grand Theft Auto Franchise.
