Star Wars Jedi Survivor officially announced by EA

After a long wait and patience, fans have finally been rewarded with an official teaser trailer for Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the sequel to Respawn’s critically acclaimed new 2019 IP is officially teased by EA and has a 2023 release date.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor officially confirmed

It seems that after all the waiting, EA has decided to lift the curtain on Star Wars Jedi Survivor. A sequel to the 2019 addition to the Star Wars video game series – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor was first teased by Jeff Grubb a few days ago, and while we didn’t have official confirmation from EA until then, the company decided to give us a first look at the official teaser trailer for the game, which is due to be released shortly in 2023.

None of the graphics shown are in-game, so keep that in mind.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor will continue the journey of Cal Kestis and will take place after the events of Fallen Order. While we’re still not sure what role Cal will play in this entry, we know it’s going to be a huge ride.

According to an official EA press release on Business Wire, the game takes place 5 years after the events of Fallen Order. It will also be exclusive to next-gen, only releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

We also took a quick look at the game’s history:

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant hunt as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and bond with a number of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Jedi: Survivor will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. To survive, Cal must learn new skills and deepen his connection to the Force.

Fallen Order was a new experience for Star Wars fans looking for a single-player entry into the Star Wars world after the two Battlefront titles adopted the Star Wars name. Great gameplay, unique story, and other mechanics made it one of Respawn’s best new IPs in a long time, and it was a surprise hit in 2019.

While we’re excited to learn more about the game with (hopefully) an EA Play later this year, what do you think of the sequel? Let us know in the comments section below. Star Wars Jedi Survivor officially announced by EA
