This year’s soirée will be held on Saturday, April 29th at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are slated to perform at the glamorous event, which is being held to support the work of journalists and provide scholarships for the next generation of storytellers. Along with the President Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, second lord Douglas Emhoffwill be present.
Additional guests incl John legend And Chrissy Teigenper deadline. Vanderpump Rules‘ Lisa Vanderpump And Ariana Madix plan to enjoy the evening as guests of DailyMail.com, the publication announced on Monday April 24th.
The ceremony comes after 37-year-old Madix’s very public split from longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval, who cheated on her with it pump rules costar, Rachel Leviss. “I am so thrilled and honored to be invited by DailyMail.com,” Madix said in a statement to the outlet. “I watch the dinner on TV every year and have always dreamed of being there in person.”
Vanderpump, 62, echoed similar sentiments. “I don’t know which is more complicated, reality TV or politics — I think I’ll find out on Saturday night,” she joked. “I am delighted to be attending this year’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner.”
The Daily show correspondent Roy Wood Jr. will host the gathering and joke with viewers after President Biden’s standup segment. Traditionally, current presidents enter the stage with humorous one-liners during the event. As President donald trump When he was in office, however, he decided to skip dinner.
Hinting at whom he would be targeting his jokes on the night, Wood, 44, told CNN in an interview on Friday, April 28: “I have everything to talk about this week. A lot has happened this week. A lot of things happened this week and these things need to be discussed in a very fair way.”
He added: “Trust me, I’m not [going] losing my job. I’m not trying to get into trouble. OK, that’s the most important part of the correspondent’s dinner: leave of absence.”
