The fact that Gilmore Girls Is Stassi SchroederThe popular comfort show after a tough day as a pregnant mother makes us identify with her even more.
“Last night was fun. Had Braxton Hicks all night, thought it was the real thing, panicked and cried because I thought I was going to the hospital without kissing Hartford goodbye,” he said Vanderpump Rules Alum, 35, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 2, noting that her daughter, 2, was sound asleep when she felt the wrong labour.
Schroeder went on to note that her pain eventually “disappeared” just as Hartford climbed inside her and her husband Beau Clark‘s bed. “She was throwing up everywhere,” Schroeder wrote. “She ‘s sick.”
Though Schroeder and Clark’s second baby isn’t born yet, she’s needed to find a way to relax after struggling with the stress of both painful labor and Hartford’s disease.
“I’ll just start Gilmore Girls Now. I need this,” she concluded, adding five fallen leaf emojis and sharing footage from the first scene of the WB pilot.
Gilmore Girls originally aired on The WB (and later The CW for its final seasons) between 2000 and 2007, and followed single mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and their teenage daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), in her small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. During Gilmore Girls With the series yet to return for a second reboot season, many fans see fall as the perfect opportunity to rewatch the series from start to finish. (Hello, it’s me, I’m a fan – and of course Schroeder too.)
Schroeder is currently pregnant with her second baby, a son. She and Clark, 42, announced the news in March.
“You know, I wish I could say I had one of those defining moments when I found out I was pregnant, and I was actually planning on having one,” Schroeder said exclusively Us weekly later this month. “I was about to take a pregnancy test when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve because that was sort of the day you can definitely tell [if you’re pregnant] then. [But] I’m impatient and couldn’t wait.”
She continued, “I woke up two days before New Year’s Eve and [had] I have no makeup, there are crusts all over my eyes and I’m like, “Beau, I can’t wait.” “I have to do this right now.” It was so disappointing, but the best thing ever. I wish I had this story like, “We found out on New Year’s Eve.” [but] NO.”
As Bravolebrity and Clark count down the days until they meet their baby boy, they have already chosen his name.
“I’ve been watching – this will be a clue – femdom and there’s an Italian connection to my son’s name,” Schroeder said on an episode of her Straight Up With Stassi podcast late last month. “So many people are dangerously close [when they guess what we chose] because I [previously] said I was inspired by a street in New York and that street was actually my first choice for baby names. So the name everyone guesses was my first choice before I came up with this other one. But this other one – which resembles the street name – has an Italian reference. That makes it very special.”
Schroeder and Clark held their second wedding ceremony in Italy in May 2022 – their first was at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
