Storms are moving south this afternoon and evening

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Afternoon and evening storms will return today. A breeze from the north will push downpours further south later in the day.

Additional clouds, along with the northerly breeze, ensure that mid-80s highs are slightly below average.
A low-pressure area off Florida’s east coast will mean even stronger northerly breezes tomorrow, so most of the rain will fall south of I-4.

As low pressure moves up the east coast, drier air spreads throughout Florida. Our chance of rain drops to just 10% on Saturday and the air will be less humid. It should be a great day out with highs in the 80’s.

On Sunday and Memorial Day we may see an isolated shower or two, but the chance of rain is slim at just 20%. Humidity remains comfortable for the end of May, with highs in the upper 80’s.
The chance of rain will gradually increase next week.
