Strictly fans are condemning Amanda Abbington after she snubs her partner Giovanni despite his tribute to her

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have slammed Amanda Abbington after she appeared to snub her partner Giovanni Pernice.
The Sherlock actress pulled out of the BBC One primetime dance show after missing week five due to an undisclosed illness.
However, when 49-year-old Amanda broke her silence and addressed her exit from the show, she notably didn’t mention her professional partner.
She uploaded a photo of a pair of gold shoes to her grid page and said: “It is with utmost regret that I had to leave Strictly.”
“This decision was not easy for me, but for personal reasons I cannot continue.”
“It was an absolute pleasure working with my competitors. They are a beautiful, hard-working and talented group of people that I love and will miss seeing and competing with them every Friday and Saturday.”
“I would like to thank the incredible production team and everyone at Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. They are wonderful people and I will miss them all.”
“I’m so sad that I can’t move on. Thank you to everyone who voted and sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all great. Really. Thank you. xxx”
Fans couldn’t help but notice the glaring omission in her lengthy Instagram post.
They took to the comments section below to make their feelings known as they felt she should have at least mentioned Giovanni Pernice, 33.
One fan wrote: “Thank you everyone except @giovannipernice. Whether they got along or not, he still did a great job as a dance teacher, so she should have thanked him for that alone.”
“Such a shame, but leaving Giovanni behind without a thank you doesn’t seem right. He was always kind and caring to his partners,” said a second.
Meanwhile, a third asked: “I think Amanda you forgot someone there. How about mentioning your partner?”
When a fourth asked: “No mention of Giovanni?”
“Wow, I’m talking about throwing him under the bus and reversing it a few times. God, I wish people would just be honest for once.”
And a fifth added: “Nice message from Gio but I see you can’t be decent enough to return the favour.”
News of Amanda’s shocking exit was first reported on Monday evening, when sources said Amanda was “fed up” and quit.
After the news was announced, Giovanni made his own short post on social media paying tribute to his newest celebrity partner.
The dancer uploaded a photo of the couple hugging backstage and wrote: “Amanda, I’m so sad that we can’t continue but I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and I’m sending you so much love.”
