Strictly speaking, fans are outraged at the “patronising” of Tess Daly after the second celebrity was voted out

STRICTLY fans were furious tonight about “patronising” Tess Daly as the second celebrity was voted out.
BBC Radio DJ Nikita Kanda left the competition after a dance-off against Zara McDermott, who moved from bottom of the rankings to third place this week.
After the jury made their decision, Nikita said: “I don’t want to leave yet, I feel like I’ve let him down.
“I had the best time and I love all my Strictly family, I will miss you all.
“This is a dream come true, I’m so grateful. I have to give my biggest thank you to Gorka, he was the biggest support and I had the best time ever.”
Gorka added: “I am beyond proud of her. I find it incredible that someone with no dance or performance experience could come to this show and dance in front of millions of people for three weeks.”
Addressing Nikita on camera, he added: “You should be very proud of yourself, you have never let me down and I am very proud of you.”
“This show will teach you so many things about yourself that you can take with you, and I’m taking incredible memories with me. I’ve never laughed as much in three weeks as I did with you.”
After Tess expressed her condolences, viewers took to X – formerly Twitter – to vent their frustration.
One wrote: “Does Tess have to talk to the departing celebrity like they’re five years old?”
Another added: “Tess Daly has to be, strictly speaking, the most condescending person on TV.”
A third agreed: “I missed Tess’ condescending ‘Oh wuvvy diddums so damn to see you go’!” It’s so real and soulful.”
