The patriarch of the Roy family has a strong personality that Cox doesn’t always have anything to do with. However, he recently admitted he’s picked up a character’s “contagious” habit: swearing.

During an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Cox was asked if he had anything in common with the Roy family patriarch.
“Just contempt,” Cox joked. Then he added: “No, I have nothing in common [with him]. He is a complete creation.”
Of course, Cox told the New York Times that he understood Logan’s anger.
“There are moments when that’s demonic [Logan] comes out,” Cox explained. “Because he’s pretty angry. That’s something he and I probably have in common.”
The actor also recently admitted he’s picked up one of Logan’s more contagious habits. And after work on successor for years, which is probably not a big surprise.

Though Brian Cox isn’t all that similar to Logan Roy, the actor has picked up his successor speech of the character. Logan is known for telling people to fuck off. And it seems Cox has cursed a bit more since following in the media mogul’s footsteps.
During an interview with Sky News, Cox admitted playing Logan has “a terrible effect” on him. He went on to explain that he swears a lot more than he used to.
“I wasn’t really a curse until I played that role,” Cox said. “And now I curse all the time. It’s contagious, it’s contagious.”
After spending so much time as Logan Roy, it makes sense that Cox would adopt some of his mannerisms. But will she successor Star to take home an Emmy for the role in 2022?

Playing Logan Roy may have had some unexpected consequences for you successor star Brian Cox, but the role could also earn him a second Emmy.
