Super Nintendo World is slated to open at Universal Studios Hollywood in February

UNIVERSAL CITY, LOS ANGELES (CNS) — It’s almost time to play at Super Nintendo World, which opens in February, Universal Studios Hollywood announced on Wednesday.
The new expanded area will open on February 17, 2023 with rides, attractions and a restaurant. It will include the new ride Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, as well as new features and attractions in the Mushroom Kingdom. The new Toadstool Cafe will offer food and beverages and the 1-UP Factory will offer Nintendo-themed merchandise.
Visitors pass by Peach’s Castle on their way to the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Power Up Bands, wearable interactive wristbands, will be available to visitors to enhance their experience.
Based on the video game series, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge offers drivers an augmented reality experience along a moving roadway with a variety of outcomes.

Super Nintendo World will also feature Mount Beanpole in the heart of the new area, Bowser’s Castle, the centerpiece of the area, and the Toadstool Cafe with a variety of dining options including Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, Mario Bacon Cheeseburger, Luigi Pesto Chicken Burger, Block Tiramisu, and Princess Peach Cupcake.
Another feature is the interactive gameplay where guests can smash blocks to collect digital coins and a variety of interactive activities. You can discover Super Nintendo World through interactive binoculars with augmented reality technology positioned in the land.
