Suspect in custody after LAPD issued warrant at Reseda’s home and closed neighborhood streets

RESEDA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A suspect was taken into custody Tuesday morning after Los Angeles police, assisted by a SWAT team, served a search warrant at a hoe in a residential Reseda neighborhood.

Details of the detained person and the basis of the arrest warrant were not immediately released by the authorities.

The incident happened at the 6700 block of Belmar Avenue, where officers arrived with at least two armored vehicles and a mobile command post. The block was closed to traffic during the operation, as were adjacent streets.

Before the suspect was arrested, video from AIR7 HD showed police officers positioned in front of a one-story house and at several positions nearby.
