Keandre Jackson, 19, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 12.45pm MPs were responding to a shooting at a residential building on the 5000 block of Roth Forest Lane.
According to the HCSO, Jackson was in a vehicle and shot into the home, hitting a 35-year-old woman and her 11-year-old son.
MPs previously said there was a dispute between teenagers in a separate apartment building involving an 11-year-old, but the situation was temporarily calmed by a parent.
Jackson is believed to be an older relative of the boys involved in the original dispute. Later, the drive-by shooting took place at the victim’s place of residence.
MPs say the woman is expected to be fine. The 11-year-old’s condition is serious but stable.
“I really hope he makes it. I will pray for him because he is such a sweet soul. He’s a really good boy. And I hope everyone is fine,” said a neighbor.
Anyone with information regarding this is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
