Switch Online’s Nintendo 64 library is getting another game this week

Switch Online’s Nintendo 64 library is expanding this week with the addition of Mario Party 3 on October 26, Nintendo has announced.

Mario Party 3 first released in Japan on the Nintendo 64 in 2000 before heading west a year later. The mini-game collection includes Waluigi and Daisy, as well as the series’ first story mode. There are six game boards and more than 70 mini-games included.

Here’s the official blurb from Nintendo:

Fresh from his appearance in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 system (also playable with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership), Waluigi joins the characters of Mario Party 3 – full of tricky traps and clever devices. The adorable Daisy also makes her first appearance in the Mario Party series as a playable character, bringing her unparalleled charm to the competition.

And what would a Mario Party game be without multiplayer mini-games? This episode is overflowing with more than 70 bubbling entertainment options to enjoy. Jump over the clock hands in “Tick Tock Hop,” bring your appetite and race to see who can eat a pizza first, swing from vine to vine in “Vine With Me,” run circles in “ Eye Sore” from Super Mario 64, laugh yourself silly as you mix and match the toad’s face in “Picture Imperfect,” or try to emerge victorious on the smooth Snowball Peak.

Featuring the first story mode in the Mario Party franchise – including the mission to become the best superstar in the universe! – alongside six game boards full of variety, the introduction of Duel Mode, a variety of newly added items and the addition of the Bow Tie Game Guy, Mario Party 3 has savoir-faire and lots of fun.

Mario Party 3 will be available to everyone with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, including online.

Last month, Nintendo announced a series of Nintendo 64 games for Nintendo Switch Online. Of the games in this wave, 1080° Snowboarding has yet to be released.
