Taylor Swift praises Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ kids on ‘Eras’

“There are some of the characters [in ‘Betty’] That I’m actually, fun fact, named after real people in my life that I love dearly,” Swift, 33, said during her concert in Philadelphia while introducing the song social media filming. “And their names are James, Inez and Betty.”
The gossip Girl Alum, 35, and the Canadian native, 46, are longtime friends of the “Anti-Hero” singer. After giving birth to their oldest three daughters, it was Swift who publicly revealed their names in her 2020 hit “Betty.”
“I named all of the characters in this story after my friends’ kids and I hope you guys enjoy it,” the Pennsylvania native said in a Twitter video in August, before delving into the title’s story. “[James] He basically lost his love’s love and doesn’t know how to get it back. I think we all have those situations in our lives where we learn to really, really sincerely apologize for the first time.”
She added: “This is a song I wrote from the perspective of a 17-year-old boy. And I’ve always loved that music allows you to slip into different identities and sing from other people’s perspectives, and that’s what I did in this case.”
While James is the lovestruck teenager in the song, Betty is his high school girlfriend and Inez is the schoolmate who tells Betty that her boyfriend cheated on her with the extra character August.
Lively and Reynolds’ daughters – James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3 – watched as Swift performed the song of the same name live at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Friday from the VIP tent, per social media videos. (The Green Lantern The co-stars, who wed in 2012, gave birth to baby number 4 earlier that year, although the little one’s name or gender has not been publicly revealed.)
The cats The actress later took note of the girls’ concert spots, even affectionately calling out “Hi James” and “Hi Nezzy” during their performance of the 10-minute version of “All Too Well.”

And obviously the song has nothing to do with our children other than our children’s names. Swift — who plays three consecutive shows in her hometown of Philadelphia — later left the venue on Friday together with the couple and their daughters.
