The concert film “Taylor Swift Eras Tour” has already achieved great success before its opening and now wants to conquer the wide world.

And surprisingly, the film, which will give cinema audiences the experience of being at one of their touring shows, is now being released worldwide.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” – which was filmed over three days of concerts in Los Angeles this summer – will be shown at all Odeon Cinemas locations across Europe. In addition, AMC and its sub-distribution partners are in the process of reaching agreements with additional cinema operators around the world.

Tickets for international locations outside of North America will be available starting today at most participating locations. Odeon reported this morning that cinemagoers will be able to purchase tickets at its locations in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Spain, Italy, Germany and Portugal. Inspired by Taylor Swift’s 1989 album and her favorite number 13, tickets in the UK and Ireland cost £19.89/€19.89 for adults and £13.13/€13.13 for children.

We say it’s a surprising move since Swift hasn’t undertaken the world tour yet. While there may be concerns about cannibalization of ticket sales, that’s not a problem for Swift as venues across Europe are already sold out and anticipation for the concert is huge.

What is the Eras Tour?

The tour, in which the singer/songwriter, as the title suggests, performs music from her various “career eras,” was a tremendous triumph. The concert was attended by more than three million “Swifties” during the first leg of its U.S. run.

Not only did it break concert sales records, but it also left tens of millions of fans wanting more, either because they attended the concert and wanted to see it again, or because they couldn’t get tickets to one sold-out performance after another.

While the first leg wrapped up last month, Swift has more dates planned for the tour, with the goal of touring internationally next year.

Here’s what Swift herself had to say about the new concert film:

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful and electrifying experience of my life so far. I’m very excited to announce that it’s coming to the big screen soon. Period clothing, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing are encouraged.”

Gold rush

The tour film has already been a huge success, generating more than $65 million in pre-sales, which is good news for both Swift and AMC, who have struck a deal in which they forego studios entirely and are expected to make money become.

Additionally, the most recent opening weekend projection was that the touring film would gross between $100 million and $125 million, although this came from industry forecasters and not AMC itself. Even if it grosses around $85 million, it will still rank as the biggest opening for a concert film.

I am ready?
