Texas DPS involved in Round Rock Cracker Barrel shooting, woman killed

RRPD is asking people to seek alternate routes.
ROUND ROCK, Texas — Texas DPS and the Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) are investigating a shooting that killed a woman in Round Rock on Friday.
According to the RRPD, they received a call at approximately 11:50 am regarding an incident involving a DPS soldier at Cracker Barrell at 2350 N IH 35.
Police tell KVUE that a DPS soldier shot and killed a woman as she tried to evade arrest.

According to the police, it is unclear whether the woman shot back or whether there was an exchange of fire.
RRPD tweeted just before 1pm on November 25: “Eastbound Old Settler’s Blvd. on Chisholm Trail Rd. is currently closed due to an incident with police.”
Just before 2:20 p.m., the department said the eastern portion of East Old Settlers Boulevard remains closed from Chisholm Trail Road.
The department is asking people to seek alternate routes.
