The Acolyte: Full Cast of the Star Wars Series Revealed – Disney Plus

Disney+ on Monday confirmed many casting rumors for its upcoming war of stars series The Acolytewhen production of the show officially started.

The full cast includes previously announced cast members Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (The good place), Jodie Turner Smith (The Last Ship) and Charlie Barnett (Russian doll), along with newcomers Dafne Keen (Its dark materials), Rebecca Henderson (invent Anna), Carrie-Anne Moss (Marvel’s Jessica Jones) and Dean Charles Chapman (game of Thrones).

The streamer also shared the above photo of Jung-jae and previously announced star Amandla Stenberg (The hate you give), which will partner series creator, showrunner and executive producer Leslye Headland (Russian doll).

When Stenberg’s casting was officially confirmed in July, The Acolyte was only known for being set in the final days of the High Republic era, full of “shadowy mysteries and emerging forces of the dark side”. But Monday’s casting announcement also provided new plot information for the mystery thriller: “A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they face are darker than… ever expected,” the new logline reads.
