The Callisto Protocol was originally announced as the debut game of Striking Distance and was meant to be a background for that PUBG Universe. However, the developers recently announced that they have cut all ties to PUBG in their upcoming title and turn it into a horror story in its own right.

Callisto Protocol releases over a month ahead of Dead Space remake

Today we were lucky enough to get a first look at the gameplay of The Callisto Protocolan action horror adventure set in an abandoned facility on a planet far from home.

As the trailer suggests, it seems as if the protagonist crashed his spaceship onto Callisto, a deserted planet also known as The Dead Moon. A series of events leads to the main character being imprisoned in a strange facility full of terrifying mutant creatures.

The gameplay of The Callisto Protocol will take you back to the time you used to play the Dead Space trilogy. The camera angle, immersive UI elements, and overall atmosphere make it feel like a spiritual successor Empty roomwhich is not surprising since the creator of this legendary trilogy is the director behind it The Callisto Protocol.

The Callisto Protocol will be available on December 20, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
