The chase suspect loses control of the 405 freeway and jumps into the back of a truck while trying to flee from the police

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A car chase involving a possible murder suspect ended after the driver lost control of the vehicle on the 405 Freeway in the Los Angeles area.

AIR7 HD was above the chase when the suspect swerved into and out of traffic at high speed. When the car hit the median of the freeway, the man got out of the vehicle and started walking.

The suspect was seen attempting to ambush a passing truck at the Manchester Boulevard exit. As the truck pulled away, the suspect jumped onto the back of the truck and attempted to flee.

Intervening officers quickly reached the suspect and attacked him on a freeway embankment.

The pursuit began in the southeastern Los Angeles neighborhoods near Windsor Hills and headed south to Inglewood and Westchester before merging the suspect onto the northbound 405.
