‘The Daily Show’: Date of Trevor Noah’s last episode – New host

We have a date for Trevor Noah’s departure as host The daily News.

Noah’s final episode airs Thursday, December 8, TVLine found out. The finale will be preceded by a week-long celebration of Noah’s greatest moments in his seven years as host.

But who is taking the reins? The daily Newsthe anchor? There’s no official word yet, but Comedy Central says the Emmy-winning news show will “embark on a reinvention as it has successfully done in the past” when it returns with new episodes on Tuesday, January 17 .

Noah announced his exit last month during a Daily show record and tell the audience, “I loved hosting the show. It was one of my biggest challenges. It was one of my greatest joys. I loved figuring out how to make people laugh, even when the stories are particularly crappy on the worst of days. We laughed together, we cried together. But after seven years, I feel like it’s about time.”

He took over as Daily show Presenter in 2015, following the departure of Jon Stewart, who guided the show through its glory days as a pop culture touchstone during its 16-year run from 1999. Stewart, in turn, replaced Craig Kilborn, who was hosting the show when it first debuted in 1997.
