The daughter of Hollyoaks stars Claire Cooper and Emmett J Scanlan was rushed to hospital

HOLLYOAKS actress Claire Cooper has revealed a worrying “serious” medical emergency that sent her toddler to hospital.
Back in November, the 42-year-old Channel 4 star and her Irish actor husband Emmett J Scanlan, 44, announced the birth of their second child, Fiáin-Luna.
The couple are already parents to son Ocean-Torin.
Hollyoaks favorite Claire uploaded a heartbreaking snap showing her little girl in hospital cuddling a stuffed bear.
She appeared to be asleep as she recovered in a cot in her hospital ward.
In her emotional caption, Claire told her Instagram fans: “We’ve had a very difficult start to the weekend, we’re so glad our little love is on the mend, unexpected surprises come out of nowhere and sometimes it really hits home hard.”
She ended her post with a hurt heart emoji.
It’s unclear what the child is suffering from, but the star’s fans will no doubt wish the little girl all the best in her recovery.
The pair met while they were both working on Hollyoaks, with Claire playing Jacqui McQueen and Emmett playing businessman Brendan Brady.
They married in 2015 and their son Ocean-Torin was born in July 2020.
However, the couple suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage a year before Ocean’s arrival, which Emmett later revealed: “We lost our baby in July last year and it left my wife fighting for her life.
“Exactly 12 months later and after 40 hours of labor with an emergency C-section, Ocean-Torin was born.
“The trauma her body and mind have suffered this year is unimaginable to me. Helpless, all I could do was hold her hand. And once again I fell in love a little more.”
