The Flash season 9 adds “Supergirl” vet Nicole Maines as Nia Nal

The Lightning‘s abbreviated farewell run will find time for a visit from one of Supergirl’s supergirlfriends when Nicole Maines reprises her role as Nia Nal aka Dreamer for “A once-in-a-lifetime adventure.”

Maines will return as “Dreamer” as “part of a very special episode of Season 9,” showrunner Eric Wallace told TV Insider, “where I can cross off one of my ‘Arrowverse Bucket List’ teams: having two amazing reporters – Iris West-Allen (played by Candice Patton) and Nia Nal – investigate their own very bizarre and frightening secret.”

That super girl The vet visit is similar to that of Batwoman alum Javicia Leslie, who will appear during The Lightning Season 9 in a secret function.

As recently (and finally) announced, Barry Allen & Co. will open their 13 episode farewell tour on Wednesday February 8th at 8:7c, where The Lightning leads in kung fuMidseason premiere at 9 p.m.

According to the official synopsis, Season 9 begins a week after Reverse Flash’s defeat in the finale last June, when Barry and Iris reconnect. “But when a deadly group of villains invades Central City, led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team must once again brave impossible odds to save the day,” the logline reads. “A deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy. And in their biggest fight yet, Barry and Team Flash will push themselves to the limit to save Central City one last time.”
