The former Daredevil showrunner is still contemplating Born Again Season 4 of the Netflix show

While many of us were thrilled to see Charlie Cox reprise his role as Matt Murdock in the actual MCU by appearing in it She-Hulk: Lawyer, There’s a fair amount of us out there who are afraid that Disney will…well…make the popular Netflix show too Disney-fy.

The concern is fairly legitimate — the Big Mouse is no stranger to watering down established intellectual property that traditionally sits more on the somber, dark, and adult-centric entertainment gamut.

During one of daredevil Original showrunner Erik Oleson has no say in Matt Murdoch’s future under Disney, so perhaps we can take comfort in knowing he’s still thinking about the future Daredevil: Reborn as the fourth season of the popular show as it existed on Netflix.

Oleson doesn’t have any specific inside information on what the new iteration of the series will be like, but he hopes it will live up to the legacy of the original show. He told ScreenRant:

“…I really don’t know what they’re up to yet. We used parts of Born Again in our season. I’m still calling [Daredevil: Born Again] Season 4 but they’re trying to insist that’s not the case so I’ll go along with whatever they want to call it. I’m very happy that Charlie [Cox] and Vincent and hopefully more of our Marvel friends will get a chance to do more with the show. I’m a big fan of theirs; I’m a big fan of the show. I’m curious what it is. I hope it’s great, let me put it that way.”

We probably speak for everyone when we say out of love daredevil, We hope so too, Erik. For now we can only sit and wait for it to land on our TV screens. Daredevil: Reborn will land on Disney Plus sometime next year, and filming has recently begun.
