LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the disappearance of rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s former bodyguard, who reportedly disappeared ahead of his scheduled court appearance at Canadian rapper Tory Lanez’s trial.

Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, issued a statement to ABC News saying that he and his team recently learned that Justin Edison was missing.

“LAPD is currently investigating his disappearance and welcomes any information regarding his whereabouts,” the statement said.

Edison was set to testify at Lanez’s trial, who is accused of shooting Megan in the feet after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in 2020.

Lanez has pleaded not guilty to the counts of negligence in disposing of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Further details of Edison’s disappearance were not immediately disclosed.

This comes after Megan Thee Stallion’s former best friend and assistant testified on Thursday.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, could face more than 22 years in prison if convicted on all charges. He could also be deported to his native Canada.

Lanez has had a successful run of mixtapes and major label records since the beginning of his career in 2009, with his last two albums reaching the top 10 on the Billboard chart.

Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, was already a huge rising star at the time of the incident, and her career has skyrocketed since then. She won a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2021 and had #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for her own song “Savage” with Beyoncé and as a guest on Cardi B’s “WAP.”
