The Last of Us player witnesses a brutal execution as Joel
Reddit user Ziske_22 recorded the official last of us subreddit to share their experience with a brutal takedown. They expressed how they had completed about 7 to 8 playthroughs The last of us and had never experienced this particular takedown.
The execution, seen in the clip below, sees Joel and Ellie hiding behind a cylinder block as an enemy approaches them. The two are then spotted as the enemy jumps onto the cylinder block, but is quickly grabbed by Joel and slapped on his back. From the way Joel grabs his legs and slams him against the corner of the cylinder block, we can only assume that’s probably a broken back. But just to be safe, Joel then hits him in the head with a baseball bat.
Although some fans had witnessed this particular execution train before, many were seeing it for the first time. MalevolentMartyr said, “Cool, didn’t know this existed in game. I think every time I tried I just hit him on the legs or something,” while Ruca705 said, “I’ve never seen that move!! So stupid”.
One user pointed out that this takedown could have been a real hold that was faulty because the enemy was on top of the cylinder block, which explains why it’s rarely seen. Still, it’s damn cool! Check out the clip below and let us know in the comments section if you’ve ever pulled off this brutal execution train.
