The Mandalorian could show another perspective on Order 66

Hot from the back of the premiere episode of The last of us We finally got our first look at the third season of on HBO The Mandalorian, what are proving to be colossal days for series lead Pedro Pascal.

The two-minute reveal gave us plenty of dialogue and imagery to munch on, hinting at Din Djarin returning to Mandalore, and Grogu unleashing even more of his Force powers. A few notable seconds, however, teased the appearance of a handful of Jedi in what appeared to be a flashback to Order 66, with the backdrop looking a lot like the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

Of course, social media is awash with reactions, theories, hot takes, and unpreparedness for another depiction of Order 66. Given what appears to be a lightsaber slicing through the door in the background, fans are also anticipating a possible appearance from Hayden Christensen , marking the second appearance of an OG Skywalker in The Mandalorian.

Granted, there’s only so much we can glean from about two seconds of zero-context footage, but those precious few frames offer enough telltale signs that the fandom may be abreast of a future flashback and Christensen may be reprising his role repeated as Anakin Skywalker as he did in Obi Wan Kenobi last year.

But back to Pedro Pascal, who will be dominating our TV screens in both for the next few months The last of us and then The Mandalorian. The actor seems to have developed a pattern of playing characters tasked with escorting and protecting important children, but it doesn’t seem to bother him at all.

All of the fate of Din, Grogu, and these Jedi is revealed in this moment of Season 3 The Mandalorian will be released on Disney Plus on March 1, 2023. The Mandalorian could show another perspective on Order 66
