The morning rain abates; Dry off for the end of the week

Columbus, Georgia (WRBL)- We stay wet on Wednesday morning on our way to work and it will rain moderately to heavily. Good news: The rain will stop before midday and the clouds will slowly decrease during the late afternoon. High temperatures can be expected to eventually warm up to over 70°C and for some close to 80°C.
It will be clear and a bit chilly overnight as we start in the 50s on Thursday morning. Plenty of sunshine will push temperatures into the mid-80s by the afternoon and early evening.
Friday will remain dry and warm for the first half of Memorial Day weekend, with highs reaching the 80s with sun and a mix of clouds. Due to a disturbance in the Atlantic, a shower or thunderstorm on Sunday and Memorial Day cannot be ruled out, but the likelihood remains low.
