The new Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special poster will have you sympathizing with Drax’s nipples

Even if we’re all still reeling from it Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, don’t forget that the next and final chapter of the fourth phase of the MCU will be with us already next week. James Gunn has just landed the keys to the kingdom over in DC and returns to Marvel for the franchise’s first-ever celebratory special in the form of The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Specialthat will be gracing our halls with Disney Plus next Friday.
Just before his arrival, a fun new poster for the hour-long Christmas present has arrived, showing Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) dressed up for the occasion. In particular, there’s no pity for Drax’s sensitive nipples chafing against the adorable Christmas jumper he’s wearing, adorned with a cat’s head wearing a Santa hat and laser eyes, against a backdrop of a pizza slice. You do it Drax.
As the first trailer revealed, the Holiday Special see Drax and Mantis scramble to cheer up their sidekick Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) after he’s still mulling over Gamora’s disappearance Avengers: Endgame, by bringing the Guardians back to Earth and attempting to celebrate a traditional human Christmas. Which apparently involves the kidnapping of one of the planet’s most legendary heroes, Kevin Bacon.
Gunn has promised great things from this one, teasing that it’s the craziest thing he’s ever done, which is a bold claim from the man who gave us such a thing peacemaker and The Suicide Squad. We’ll find out if he’s telling the truth once we unpack it The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special we are coming on November 25th. And remember volume 3 should follow in a few months next May.
